over the past 40 years.
A message from our CEO
For years, philanthropy and community support have enabled ideas to become breakthroughs and patient care to deliver real impact.
As we mark our 40th year, this is a moment to pause and reflect on what has been achieved – not in abstract terms, but in real outcomes for people, families, and communities.
Since our establishment, more than $78 million has been directed to research and patient care across The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital. That investment has supported earlier diagnosis, new treatment approaches, improved patient experiences, and research that continues to shape clinical practice today – and for years to come.
Behind every advancement is a choice and decision – whether or not to invest in better outcomes, often for people we may never meet and never know. It is from those choices and decisions that we have reshaped how care is delivered within our hospitals and how research expands from early ideas to real-world impact.
Some supporters are motivated by personal experience. Others are driven by a belief in the power of research and innovation to change and save lives. Together, these motivations have created a legacy that improves care today while strengthening healthcare for generations to come.
The demand for care is growing, and so too are the opportunities for research and innovation. What remains constant is the essential role of philanthropy in bridging the gap between what is possible and what can be delivered.
To date, we have achieved so much, and I hope you take pride in the role you’ve played in bringing us to this milestone. I look forward to walking side by side with you into the next chapter. There is so much more we can do and achieve together.
