Shout A Health Hero… a coffee!

Healthcare workers given cup of appreciation through ‘pay it forward’ program – Shout a Health Hero.

The Common Good is calling for an act of kindness towards the amazing staff who keep their hospitals, The Prince Charles and Caboolture Hospital, operating during times of uncertainty – for the price of a coffee.

The Shout A Health Hero campaign will see staff from two major hospitals provided with donations of coffee, to perk their spirits as they continue to adapt to our changing environment and healthcare needs.

CEO of The Common Good Michael Hornby said Coronavirus had placed the spotlight on all the frontline health workers.

“Workers in our hospitals are here for us in so many ways every single day; doctors, nurses, wardies and admin staff are always putting patients before themselves. We have to remember these healthcare workers are people with their own families have their own worries and challenges at home like the rest of us,” he said.

“A coffee may not sound like much but it’s more than that; it’s a gesture of gratitude that can have an immense effect when they know the community is behind them.”

Coffee vouchers will be distributed to workers by the onsite cafes operated by The Common Good, the charity connected with The Prince Charles and Caboolture Hospitals that funds research into chronic disease that will affect 90% of us in our lifetime.

Donations to Shout a Health Hero are tax deductible.
