If you’re looking for a team-building experience that’s not only fun but also contributes a worthy cause, you’ve come to the right place!
Scooping up iconic Strawberry Sundaes brings smiles to the faces of Ekka showgoers and gives hours to researchers who are striving to help people live healthier for longer.
The corporate volunteering opportunity will bring your team together and offers a way to showcase your brand/business to thousands of people at the RNA Showgrounds.
Our corporate volunteering teams are instrumental to the success of this event, so we thank you for considering this opportunity!
Team volunteering has numerous benefits that will translate to your office after your shift, including;
You will also receive a FREE entry pass for the Ekka on the day of your shift. Enjoy the rides, shop the showbags or meet your family in the evening to watch the fireworks.
And to top it all off, you’ll be treated to a FREE Strawberry Sundae at the end of your shift (yum yum!).
Get out in the community, and showcase your brand at one of Brisbane's biggest events!
Break away from traditional team building. Give your team an amazing day at the Ekka, while helping create a great giving culture at your business.
It's more than ice cream. Every sundae your team scoops helps to support researchers working on conditions impacting 90% of Australians.
Ekka volunteering was an incredible way for our team to come together and give back to the community. It was a really fun way to build teamwork outside of the office.
Catherine, Network 10
Our team thoroughly enjoyed the Ekka volunteering - a sense of nostalgia for many - and a great way to bring our team together, have some fun and give back to not just a great cause, but the city of Brisbane.

All of your team mates must register and complete their training before April 17. We then open the remaining volunteering shifts to the general public to ensure we have enough volunteers trained and ready for Ekka.

Our smaller sites at Kids Carnival, The Plaza and Alexandria Street require 12 volunteers to run the stall. Our larger sites at Amusements and on Gregory Terrace will require 18 volunteers to run the stall. If you do not meet these operational minimums, The Common Good will recruit additional volunteers to fill remaining spaces.
